I mostly agree! But if the info is already out, I think an apology video may be good. Maybe first work it out privately, then when things are solved, come out with the new information. Ideally, everything on private from the start.

I hate public apology videos. Hate them. The people outraged never let the wrong-doer off the hook. Never. Apologies, especially on the internet are worthless.

If you fucked up make whatever amends you can privately, stay quiet everywhere else, move on, then wait until it blows over.
