I can understand this pov, because I know women who think that self esteem comes from being "better" than the women around them in some way, I have a close relative who is very much like that and it affected my expectations of what people are like and how I should expect to be treated. But, even if it's not an uncommon thing, the majority of women, and people in general, aren't like that. So it's a mindset I work against. Why give in to the thought processes of people who want you to be less for their benefit?
