Implied, but Stiles is also on Wolfsbane in Party Guessed and as someone with personal experience with paranoia and psychotic breaks, I guess I always just assumed it was more that Stiles was afraid his dad might BECOME an alcoholic in the wake of Claudia's death than actual confirmation that he ever had.

Also, Stiles always struck me, at that point in canon, as having had low self-esteem. So the part in Party Guessed especially strikes me as fear born out of paranoia rather than fear born out of fact. I think it's just Stiles' worst fear regarding his father.

But that's my interpretation. YMMV and all that.
