Re: How do you feel about ao3 authors sharing your comments?

Its not even about the amount of comments. I just miss the community circles since now fan writers are just expected to be content providers for people like yourself who thinks that we should be happy without any communication with fandom and just keep posting without complaint.

I told you to stop posting your writing online. That is the opposite of expecting you to post without feedback.

I write my own rare fic so *shrug*

I don't go into fandom with expectations

Anon above should look after their own mental health if they aren't happy right now with fandom

I, on the other hand, am a reader and care about WIPs being finished and about general hype levels in my fandoms.

I wouldn't qualify feeling upset by the lack of feedback a cause for concern. Being on fs is more of a concern hahaha.

Eh, caring about feedback is fine and normal. Thinking that you are a thankless machine that has to pump out content sounds like someone for whom fandom is dragging them down and for whom a break would be good for their mental health.

I'm with you on this. But many peeps on fs absolutely hate fic writers who openly care about feedback.
there was more collaborations and betaing going on.

I care about feedback, as a writer. But expecting a certain amount of feedback and getting upset when you don't get it is a fool's errand.

My certain amount of feed back is missing the fan community - I don't know how you got clout chaser out of that but I'm allowed to miss socializing in a fan community and be upset about being seen as a content provider who should never complain.
