Yeah I know. AO3 just feels like a monkey paw situation to me - its the perfect platform for everything that I could want from fanfiction, but because its more public it comes under more scrutiny and TikTok hasn't helped with how they treat writers. At least back when I posted on LJ and ffnet, there were comments that made it feel more like a community. Now on a good day I'll get someone demanding more or wanting me to write a fic they can't be arsed to write.
But like you said, AO3 is better. Perhaps I should give up creating and just read.
