You're going to be the happiest at of all of us when people stop writing fanfiction. But that's OK, at least you'll have ai to generate fanfic for you - because at least a computer can't complain.

Lol. I write fic. I guess I'll be the last author standing, posting my weird kink fic to a rapt, starving audience. Oh, the kudos I will get!

Humans have been sharing their writing for thousands of years, and have probably been complaining about what other people do with that writing for just as long. If the invention of the printing press, mass produced paper, mass produced writing implements, the typewriter, computers, or the internet didn't stop people sharing their writing, the 'download fic' button on AO3 certainly won't.
