That isn't how it works. You don't stop being trans just because you've successfully realigned your body. You're still trans, and will still go through a range of uniquely trans experiences, Jo.

Right, what I meant was "remain untransitioned" which is something that happens in a LOT of fic. My bad.

Deciding to transition is a big decision that is more than just a physical realignment. I can quite understand why some people might decide to not transition, despite the perfection magic could potentially bring. Not every trans person wants to transition even now, and not every trans person opts, even when opportunities are available, to fully transition. It is complicated, and adding magic to the mix just makes it more complicated instead of less. It would really be an opportunity for a lot of character story opportunities, exploring that full breadth of the trans experience.

Nah, if you don't want to transition if it was possible by entirely painless magical means you're not trans. In real life, I get being scared of the imperfections and potential medical issues connected to it but magic? Nope, don't buy it.

Thanks for being a bigot then, you're in the right fandom for it. I guess.

Lol not anywhere near the fandom, didn't even read the books. Doesn't change the fact that a "trans" person with no wish to transition ain't trans.

Reality doesn't care if you "buy it" or not.

Reality is that a person with no desire or faintest wish to transition isn't trans.

Sure they are. I wish I had perfect eyesight. I can get it if I get lazik, but I have no desire to get eye surgery. Doesn't mean I don't wish I had perfect eyesight. Same thing. I'm sorry you're stupid. :(

Nope, sorry you lack basic reading comprehension.

You wish to have better eyesight. And if you could get that without eye surgery, as in the above example by magical means, you would want that. But most importantly, you wish you had it. A person who has no wish to transition to the other gender is not trans.

Do you think that trans stands for transition? That's not correct either, but it's a less idiotic take than insisting that a desire to change your body to fit societal expectations of gender is the only way to present as that gender.

If you don't wish to have a different body than your birth sex to more closely resemble the gender you believe yourself to be you are not trans. That's literally the requirement to be trans.

Actually it is not the desire to change it that is the marker for transness or cisness, it is the fixed belief as to whether it matches. Thanks for playing though.
