Tech support — iOS Reddit app

(Anonymous) 2024-04-04 05:35 am (UTC)(link)
Anyone else having trouble?

My app refuses to load the normal “home” or “new” feeds beyond a few entries.

I know, I know, it’s my own fault for having an Apple product and/or using the Reddit app. I rightly deserve to be tarred and feathered. But given that I’m owning up to both those sins… does anyone know why I’m having this problem now?

Reddit had an outage. I always check https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ if closing the app doesn’t resolve the issue.
If yours is still having problems, do a hard restart of your phone (click up volume then down volume, then hold the power and up volume buttons until the screen goes dark and then shows the Apple logo).
If that doesn’t work, delete the app and then download it again.

You’re welcome! I’m so sorry I got something wrong though. For a hard restart, press up volume, then down volume, then hold the power button until the screen goes black and the Apple logo appears. I have no idea why I said to also hold the up volume button; I think I wasn’t quite fully awake yet.
