I disagree that it sucks, I find going alone much more fun and less stressful than going with other people.

I'm with you. I was raised to be a people-pleaser, so if I go with people I'm just going to spend the whole event stressing out over whether they're having a good time.

I agree that going, in general, is better than not going.

Fir concerts it really depends on the concert and who is going with me. I lean more towards mosh pit kind of experience, and if people are going to be fragile flowers in a crowd I'd rather go alone. But if I have someone that can hold their own and I don't have to worry about taking care of them and we can just rock together, hells yeah its better with those kinds of friends.

I love going to concerts by myself. I don’t have to worry about my friends wanting to leave the barricade and moving to the back.

I recently went by myself to my first concert and I have to say, if it had been with my ex best friend, it would've been a nightmare.

I was a lone concert goer because I do prefer going alone to waiting for other people and now I just don't go anywhere at all. I just feel too scared and depressed. Also I had a really bad concert experience so some of my fears are based in reality.

It only sucks if you like having someone you feel comfortable with there with you to squee and scream and be excited with. I've gone to a concert solo and it was really nice to pick up conversation with a stranger also hyped at the concert. Once the concert started it was easy to get caught up with the crowd and just jam for the entire concert.

I definitely have enjoyed going to things with friends but I am also in the process of warming up to just showing up on my own, I think it's something that takes some adjustment but that eventually you do get plenty out of.
