Comis Sans has been found to be a very good font for people with dyslexia, much moreso than standard and more regular fonts. It does have its uses!

There’s a font called Dyslexie. Response from non-dyslexics is even more negative than Comic Sans: https://ul.gpii.net/content/dyslexie

Personally, I think no other font is as bad as Jokerman. There’s just no comparison.

Oh, I think that Dyslexie font is kind of cute!

Comic Sans to me just reminds me of stupid signs and the kind of people on Facebook who use that crylaugh emoji background all the time. It's lame, like Minion Moms.

It has been very very badly abused by such people, to be sure.

I find Comic Sans' letterspacing/kerning annoyingly off, like you just can't use it right off the keyboard without having to tweak it a bit. (Dyslexie, while a bit odd-looking to this nondyslexic, doesn't seem to have that problem!)

As for truly obnoxious fonts, it seems like we were glutted with all sorts of barely-legible "grunge" fonts in the 90s/early 2000s.

Huh. I like that font and definitely found it easier to read than a lot of other standard fonts. I also like Comic Sans. Hmmmm.

I love comic sans and I'm going to use it with every shitpost I do until microsoft takes back their shitty mspaint program from my cold dead hands.

Some people have never played Will Wright's original The Sims ... and it shows. I have to ask ... comicsans"Do you canoe?"/comicsans

Some people rag on Comic Sans because when it was released, some people used it everywhere, trying to be cute or something. It actually seemed, in some circumstances, like they were making light of things that they shouldn't have - death announcements (seriously), corporate seminars about sexual harassment, medical pamphlets, etc. It's not a serious looking font, which is fine in a lot of situations, but not so much in others.

It's designed to be easy to read because it was used in comics which were printed cheaply on shitty paper. It very much serves its purpose.

Whenever I hear sounds, I get subtitles in my head.

So if someone says 'Apple' to me, I see the word 'Apple' in text, rather than seeing 🍎.
If I'm listen to music, I pretty much get lyrics popping up line by line like subtitles on Netflix.

The text is always in Comic Sans. I'm not sure what that says about my subconcious.
