I'm not particularly invested in the British royal family, not being British, but lord, the conspiracy theories have been entertaining as hell. (Wish her the best and everything, complete recovery and all that) but LORDT.

Honestly, as a cancer survivor, one of the most satisfying things in the world is being able to say, "Oh, it was the cancer," to people being mean to me.

A doctor: why are you so fat?
Me: cancer, it's right there in my medical history
A doctor: *shuts up for once*

A person in the supermarket: why are you still wearing a mask?
Me: Cancer.
A person in the supermarket: Uh, um, um, okay...

My mum took great pleasure in, as she put it, 'playing the cancer card'. She said she might as well get some benefit from it while she could.

Cancer survivors weren't masked before 2020. I know someone who survived lung cancer who hasn't worn a mask despite advanced age and constant contact with children and teachers due to his job. It is not necessary.
