Hmmm. Usually this type of propaganda isn't that subtle, so I'm not sure that's what it is? I suppose it's possible. In the show, the character wants a child because her mentor who was like a mother to her had a dying wish - that the female lead (who's a deadly assassin) escape the political turmoil, lead a normal life, not fall in love too easily with a man, and have a child. And the female lead reveres her mentor's memory so much that she wants to fulfill that dying wish. She chose the male lead because he's tall and has good martial arts skills, so she figures the kid will be a great martial artist, LOL.
