It's almost like being overworked and underpaid and horribly stressed makes people physically, mentally, and emotionally unwell....

But def not a societal problem. No siree.

You are amazingly quick to blame everything but yourself. Own your own godamn actions, anon! You are being a whiny child and ignoring the fact that you just should have spoken in a personal tone and nobody would have had a problem, yet you continue to blame "society" and every other anon under the sun. Wake up to the fact that you are a big part of the problem here.

*slow blinks* it…it isn’t a societal problem though. That’s exactly what everyone has been telling you. Because what you’re experiencing isn’t normal.

But I think everyone is right and the problem is you.

What a useless way to try and defend your actions and behaviour. Do you think you have the monopoly of mental health issues or something? You’re the only one who has bad days? I live with depression, some weeks it kicks my ass and I don’t want to get up for anything. I still get up, do my job, and generally exist even when I don’t feel like I want to because if I give into my negative thoughts and wants I do get worse and it all feeds into a hopeless feedback loop.

Part of living with mental illness is actively doing things to help and not just wallowing and throwing myself a pity party. I have to help myself in order to get better and that means doing things I don’t like so I can like things again. Because when I’m not in a depression spiral I do actually enjoy life and my job. It’s not meant to feel bleak and hopeless all the time and if it does you need to talk to a professional. Venting at a bunch of strangers online won’t help anything.
