I have a friend with a shitty and extremely demanding job. I understand a power of a good vent and sunken cost fallacy, but ffs I am at the point of ignoring her. We told her that her only way is changing field TO ANYTHING or at least to try and change place of work. Yeah adult person can choose what they want and I know how hard changing things are. But she is jealous of every absolutely normal job things like not buying your own microwave or not getting your salary cut randomly.

Yeah, unfortunately, it's hard to listen to someone repeatedly vent about a problem they aren't ready to do anything about (whatever reason that may be - no judgment). Sounds like she could use a therapist or something.
