Favorite scifi?

Is it showing a better hopeful future or a more dystopian quagmire? Or something else?

I tend to lean towards the hopeful, even if there are a lot of dark elements involved. My top three favorites are Doctor Who, Babylon 5, and Star Wars. Star Trek is pretty great too, as is Stargate: SG1.

A mix of both for me personally. Reflects reality to have a dystopia filled with hopeful people.

I prefer scifi horror so I guess dystopian. :/

I like dystopian settings, like Brave New World or The Matrix.

I enjoy ambiguous endings, like Ex Machina.

All of the above! One, the other, neither, and both!

I like Star Trek and Star Gate and Farscape and The Martian and Batman Beyond and Super Hero Comics and and Warhammer 40k and Dune and Forever War and Ray Bradbury and monster fucker romances (In Space!) and Spell Jammer and Cyber Punk and Hunger Games and Shadowrun and Z Nation and and and and!

Looking at my list I see a lot of BE WARNED! scifi and a lot of WOULDN"T IT BE FUCKED UP IF? scifi but there's also some WOULDN"T IT BE *COOL* IF? scifi in there too.

Depends on the mood and how it's executed. I do prefer hopeful endings whenever it's dystopia or utopia though
