Hugo Weaving was bad casting because he wasn't right for the role of Elrond. Then again, the role was badly written in general.

The only LOTR person I thought was a little miscast was Miranda Otto; her acting was fine but I thought Eowyn should look tougher.

I love most of the casting. And Weaving is a great actor. But Elrond is one of my favorite characters in the books, and I just generally don't like how his character was adapted. One of the things that most annoys me about the movies.

Agreed. I also thought she needed more sword training, she swung that thing rather gingerly, like she was afraid she'd hurt someone. She did not handle that blade like a shield maiden.

Hugo Weaving is one of those actors who is just... strongly himself, if that makes any sense? It worked well for his role in The Matrix, but less so for Elrond, IMO.

I find his teeth quite scary.

For some reason, I now wonder how Agent Smith would look in drag.

Just google it. Has has worn drag before, there are plenty of pictures.

I know Hugo Weaving has. What I want to see is the character of Agent Smith in drag.

But... but Agent Smith in drag wouldn't really look like Agent Smith anymore, instead, he would look like Hugo Weaving in drag. Except maybe with less facial expressions.
