I see the logic, it's just dumb: "Harry wears glasses because JKR did" + "Hermione (female) does not wear glasses even though JKR has said that Hermione is her self-insert" == "Harry (male) is JKR's real self-insert" -> "JKR, on some deep-down level possibly even she is unaware of, identifies as male".

It would be cruelly satisfying to see JKR suddenly realize she's trans and now has to experience the face-eating leopards she's spent years and millions creating, but I don't see any real evidence that it's true.
