I found myself loving the slow pace, but I can definitely see why it would not be to someone's tastes.

Still can't get over the stupid names. I see the decades long trend of just flipping through German dictionaries to choose random non-name words as names is still alive and well in manga/anime.

I'm absolutely loving it, but it's definitely on the slower side for sure. I got rec'd it when asking about something like Mushishi, if that's any indication. If anything I'm surprised it's gotten as popular as it has, because it's definitely not for your Standard Anime Audience.
