I'm in a state of mind where I really want to take some trips and actually have some time off this summer to do so, but I am not mentally all there enough to plan. Grief apparently fucks up my long term thinking capabilities.

Good idea/bad idea?

I am pondering an Idea and can't decide of it is dumb or fun.

I am not an artist but I enjoy painting and doodling, but then I never know what to do with the creations. It feels weird to just throw them away. So I was thinking of making postcard size art and asking if random people want random postcards in the mail. Like I'd create a site or something where you could privately sign up and I would mail you out random art!

But idk if anyone would actually want a rando postcard with subpar art from a stranger.

Look into reddit, if you don't mind the platform! There was a community just like that years ago. I don't remember the name, though. Some communities were big on card exchange (they also have stationary swap exchange, etc.).
I've done an art card exchange through r/sketchdaily
they had a sign up to send a card to 4/5 strangers and I received cards from all over the world! It was fun! ^^

Nice, I've been playing that game the last week too! Damn near lost my voice and my ears decided to start screaming at me over the weekend. Gonna guess allergies as well though, since I found a new thick layer of pollen on my car Saturday.

the kids ain't alright. they're making the hard right magas look less horrible in comparison.

i wish it was possible to acknowledge that what the isreali government is doing to innocent people is wrong and horrible and at the same time acknowledge that what hamas did to innocent people was wrong and horrible.

oh wait! it IS possible, if you have more than one brain cell!

I read the most surreal story about two brothers where one of them wanted to kill everyone in the city (or the world if possible) and the other one wanted to find a sound he had heard as a kid but couldn’t remember. One went to jail and the other went insane, but they both got what they wanted in the end. After the initial “what was that” reaction, I realized it was actually kind of sweet, since the second brother resisted the chemical weapon because part of his tongue was missing (that didn’t really make sense even in context, but at that point I’d stopped trying to analyze things), so maybe the two of them will meet up again and play together in the dead city like they used to as children. And now I’m tearing up at the idea, and I really don’t think this is how I’m supposed to react to this story. It’s a lot of things, but heartwarming really isn’t one of them.

Oh well. As long as I’m happy.

I've gotten into a large fandom for the first time after *years* of only being in tiny, obscure ones, and the drama and the fighting over stupid petty stuff and the ship wars and the completely-lacking-in-boundaries-and-social-awareness fans tweeting stuff to the actors...it's all just exhausting and I'm kind of already wanting to take a break after only a month.

I was thinking of getting into polymer clay, but uuuh... it seems it's way more expensive than I first thought.
Maybe I will just build my models with paper.... I want to do a diorama for my fandom, with playable characters in it, and paper is really not the best for there types of things, but I don't have a lot of disposable income atm.
