From Wiki: Truck-kun is an Internet meme that refers to a common trope used in the isekai genre of anime and manga, in which characters are transported to other worlds.

“transported to other worlds” by being hit by a truck… right?

(Or otherwise killed so they are “reincarnated” in a new world)

Many of the isekai fic I see are "modern person gets transported into the body of Joffrey Baratheon before GoT starts, WHAT WILL HE DO?"

New anon here, I totally thought OP meant truck fucking or trucks fucking. This secret is a wild ride.

Yes.
It's mostly seen in Korea and Japanese stories. Western stories tend to feature an actual travel or something like Life on Mars aka ***magic***.

Ahhhhh, okay. That’s making more sense to me now, so OP wants to be transported to another world, which: fair.

*by being killed in this world* seems like important context

It is really death if you are being transported into another world?

(Anonymous) 2024-04-26 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
It is because their body is dead and their family thinks they're dead. They're usually orphans for this reason.

(Anonymous) 2024-04-26 12:49 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't consider it death if they get transported to another world where they continue to, you know, experience existence. I also personally wouldn't consider it suicidal ideation if being transported to another world is part and parcel of the fantasy. But I am an atheist, so ceasing to exist is inherent to suicidal ideation for me. I guess some religious people may feel differently.

Still feels like a stretch to say this should have a warning, though.
