Yeah if a bunch of religious weirdos show up on your doorstep claiming their god told them that your homeland is really their homeland, for the love of your god, don't let them in. I can see the applicability right now.

Not that part. The part about a group of people fleeing and suffering and needing a home, but the place maybe not having all the resources needed to care for all of them. Everyone is portrayed sympathetically, both sides.

That is why it is such a great allegory, it shows that just because you are displaced and oppressed that you can't also be dangerous religious zealots out to displace others too. If that isn't the founding of Israel in a nutshell, I don't know what is.

I'm honestly not sure if you are a troll or not. But the episode in no way portrayed them as dangerous. It was entirely sympathetic to them.
