I would imagine it is probably acting, the same as any actors pretending to be in love for film.

OP - The bit I was specifically referring to was once the performance is over, when they embrace euphorically because "Oh my god we did so good!"

They are aware that they are being perceived by millions of people, so yeah, obviously there's an element of performance to anything they do in that moment. But they are also two people who have worked night and day towards this incredible performance, which requires them to work seamlessly together with an immense amount of trust and respect for the other's abilities, and they've just absolutely crushed it; they did it; it's done. And so they embrace. I think it's fairly safe to assume that the embrace was real and driven by genuine emotion and camaraderie, though certain aspects of it were likely shaped by the awareness that they're in front of an audience of millions.

Again, I'm not saying they were secretly in love with each other. They always said it wasn't like that, and I take their word for it.

I'm just saying...jesus, that hug tho.
