Nah, this is by no means a neurodivergent vs. neurotypical thing.

The vast majority of trans headcanons I see being aggressively pushed in fandom are from ND folks (and that's fine, like, w/e, just an observation).

If this secret was accurate, that wouldn't be the case.

it's what other comments have said - tons of ND people are pushing the "nah canon sucks do what you want" and tons of typicals are canon sticklers (e.g., well, me, I sure do love canon) so uh. whatever this secret is trying to say did it super, super badly.

But most trans headcanons don't actually explicitly conflict with canon, so this isn't really an argument against what the secret is saying.

why i hate when people call them "headcanons" instead of what they really are, which is aus. they're not headcanons because headcanons are things that could plausibly fit into canon without altering anything.

And in many cases a character being trans could plausibly fit into canon without altering anything??
