I would even say that some of the people saying "canon doesn't matter, get over it" are themselves neurodivergent.

This. I'm one of those neurodivergent people who is happy to ignore parts of canon I don't like, especially in big, sprawling canons like Star Wars, comics, and the MCU.

But then, I've also been a comics fan since I was tiny, and had to deal with constant retcons, bad writers and events that disrupted the books and storylines I liked most. At this point, canon is whatever is most entertaining for me right now.
