There was someone in one of my fandoms who experienced something similar. It seemed like it was all one person but it was really extreme. At first a lot of us were trying to figure out who in the fandom was doing it but there were little clues that made us think it was someone who wasn’t even in the fandom. Eventually they got bored and left her alone but it hurt her a lot and she struggled hard with depression as a result :(

I don't think there is a plugin, but apparently you can find out who anons are using right click -> View Page Source on Firefox
