TW ANIMAL INJURY (but has a positive outlook i guess?)

Today I found a baby opossum (California) wandering in my back yard, poor little thing looked like a cat got ahold of him, and tore one of his little ears almost clean off! I found some old gloves and picked him up, he immediately curled up in my hand. I put him in a clean blanket in my laundry basket and called the local wildlife rescue (I'm glad we have that). They said to bring him in. I got him to drink a little water from an eyedropper, then took him to the rehab center and dropped him off, hopefully he will be ok but in any case he's in good hands now. I will call them in a few days and see how he's doing. Poor baby.
