I looked it up when it started getting hype during awards season. I guess, in a way, it's an exploration of identity and agency, but, damn, it's so full of do not want for me.

I went in knowing nothing about it but as a massive fan of the director. Crashingly disappointed in it, but I really like thinking about why it didn't work. It does feel reductive to be like 'lol look at this man trying to be femnist' but... female liberation through heterosexual sex & socialism is so fkn funny, like it truly does feel like every right-on dude I hung out with in my 20s got together and made a movie
