Nailed it, Secret Maker, ya nailed it. Thank you.

The best supervillain for supervillainy's sake was Ming the Merciless from the eighties Flash Gordon film. Ming doesn't care about your supervillain trope list. For him it is a supervillain checklist.

Fist, love the layout of the secret. Well done!

Second, I agree. But I also do not understand the appeal of reaction videos in general.

In the US at least, if it's not STEM (and they often want to do away with S as well) they don't want to teach it. This is why reading comprehension is shitty. Literacy rates in general are going down, too.

Second-language users often are more aware of rules like that. Learning a first language is mostly done through absorption, with education (i.e., rules) as a supplement. Learning a second language is generally done education-first, meaning you learn the rules earlier and more rigidly.

So yes, you are more likely to notice things like that, as a ESL speaker. And it may not be all native speakers who are getting it wrong in fic, but fandom osmosis -- picking up habits, phrases, etc (both good and bad) by seeing them repeated in other fic you're reading -- is also very much a thing.

Omg secret maker I love this one. Beautiful in its simplicity. Thank you for making my silly secret!

TBH the problem isn't really that one way or the other of doing supervillains is especially bad. Either way can work.

The problem is that the MCU leans too much to one side. But frankly, the deeper problem is just that you have one movie series with the same overarching team making creative and production decisions and it's tired. The formula has worn down.

No, switching off is a survival tactic of the human brain. Even people living in the thick of things day in and day out will switch off sometimes.

this is something I have noticed too in the occasional fandom. (english is my primary language).

There are actually two for me: "He laid down to sleep" and "she nodded her head in disagreement." Both instantly knock me out of the flow of a story.
