I was reading this Witcher fic (unring the bell by Shinybug https://archiveofourown.org/works/34495324 ) and I really liked the whole "Jaskier doesn't think anyone is coming for him so he saves himself" bit and was wondering if anyone else had any recs for more of the same. Basically, character A gets captured (and tortured or hurt or whatever) and manages to escape/saves themselves but then after they escape they run into the party/person that was on the way to save them. Then lots of comfort.

If you've ever seen Ever After, same concept when Drew Barrymore walks out and the Prince was there to rescue her.

I've been sucked back into Witcher lately so if you have any for that specific fandom that'd be great, but any fandom that you think I can dive in without knowing beyond the basics will work. I also enjoy Dragon Age Inquisition, CoD, and MCU (Stucky, mostly).

Did voyager fandom have good fic? I was super into the show (I was obsessed with 7 of 9 because angsty backstory and 'learning how to human' is my absolute jam) but never got into the fandom. I remember taking a peek and it was all 7/Janeway porn and at the time I was absolutely not into that (I saw their relationship as more mentor or maternal but to each their own), but it's been years now and the Tom Paris secret got me curious.

So! If you have any awesome Voyager fic feel free to rec it! I tend towards h/c and plotty fic.
