Ah, I've had a somewhat opposite experience, but I TOTALLY understand where you're coming from. For me, I had friends who were fans well before Tommy, so I was used to seeing the guys on my dash and I was just never going to watch the show but I'd be like 'ah yes, my blorbos-in-law' about them-- and I do hope they get together, but I think it's probably good to have some time dating guys and being out before then, and as much as I have any kind of hope about a show I don't watch, I hope the Tommy relationship is a good experience while it lasts, too.

But because my friends are pretty chill about it, and the people who are NOT chill are people I can unfollow, I'm just skipping out on a LOT of ship drama, and I'm not seeing the crazy hate. If my experience was that SUDDENLY my dash was full of people being total dicks about shipping, my feelings would be totally different.

I love the term "blorbos-in-law" :D.
