I wasn't taking about fandom but more on lj in general. But yes, flip the words a lot and essentially and you have what I meant to say.

'essentially a lot' versus 'a lot essentially'. Regardless, there still is a buttload of americans on the lj.

Oh yeah, Canada? Also there are a lot more British and Australian people in English speaking fandom than you seem to think :| I know most fandoms will have more Americans than people from other countries a lot of the time, but that doesn't mean they're ESSENTIALLY made up of Americans.

dduh. I'm not saying there isn't i said a lot, on THIS website, meaning, a specific group of people. I know there are people that speak english in a vast amount of countries, but on average you will find polling a site like livejournal that there is a significan't amount of americans.

I'm not generally at the center of this (although I suppose now I am haha) but when it comes to secrets I know people read them very incorrectly and stir-up unnecessary argumentative stances, because the statements could be interpreted in multiple ways and people chose to take it the wrong way. I'm not saying my wording was the best, but people are getting way too heated up about it imo.

No yeah, I get it now. I remember I replied to a secret and was like 'OP I get what you're saying, people are just freaking out because you used the word fat so they're not paying attention to what the secret means' and they replied saying that I was right, so... it's not like I haven't experienced it before from the other end.

It's always these 'controversial' secrets that people start getting antsy about perfect wording, and I'm.. a lazy quick typer at times and so I found myself having to explain myself lol.

I was more trying to make the point because there is so many americans on here the secret sounds like it is asking for trouble. XD

Pff it's cool. I guess I got antsy because I kind of...am used to the attitude that fandom is all American with a few Canadians, Brits etc.

I normally don't get pissy over wording either so I'm sorry, people always pick at stuff I say by taking what I've said the wrong way (sometimes it seems like purposefully trying to cause drama though) because I don't really bother phrasing everything perfectly and eloquently~ and I've caused a few minor wanks. It's frustrating cause I don't mean anything ill-spirited but you've just have to laugh in the end, right?

All the fandom forums and sites I've ever frequented -- even the ones for originally British fandoms -- ARE inhabited primarily by Americans. I am not sure what is so offensive about pointing that out.
