So how did the gameplay trailer make you feel?

Not much better, proportions still remind me of a Fable game, characters are still ugly to me.

All the art had me dreading, it looks so clay or cartoony ir something, but the gameplay trailer made me hopeful.

People keep making comparisons to Overwarch and Fortnite, and I don’t really see it. Yes, it’s more stylized than the previous game, but not that stylized. I defy anyone to look me in the eye and tell me you could put Junkrat in the lineup and he wouldn’t stand out. Only Emmrich's look really dipped into cartoonish in the trailer, and even he looks less so in the promotional group picture, so it might just be that the trailer's lighting exaggerated his features. To be fair on that last point, though, this secret was probably made before much else was out.

That said, HOW is this a secret???? This is literally the majority of comments under the video and the main discouse after the reveal trailer! I mean, maybe OP's DA fandom community consists of the people that liked the artstyle and dislike the discourse? (Can we swap then please, OP? You can go and chat with all the whiny manbabies and sweaties that hate the art so much (discuss fortnite and Kids These Days and That was Made For Zoomers!!1!OMGH!!2!1!!), and I'll join your community of people with actual taste.)

PS: okay, this is also funny because Overwatch still has one of the most diverse casts in games and its character design is good? I mean, overall, they sure have their weak points (cough only thin ladies cough couch only ladies asses cOUGH WIDOW'S BROKEN BACKCOUGHCOUCGHHGHGH), but sadly the othr game studios can't do even that.

PSS2: ALSO also!! about the male characters??? OP, sweaty, babycackes, honeybunsch, sugarplum, we finally have Old Men Yaoi quality of men we can romace, and you dislike them??? awful, such a bad taste. ThE NECROMANT???? U NO LIKE THE GRANDPA??? Seriously. As soon as I saw the necromant I was sold. I've been waiting for a character like that for a veeeery long time.

I'm also an anon that quite disliked DA:I's gameplay (origin for me has the best gameplay), but didn't hate the story nor the characters. They were kind of MEH compared to the other cast with some exception (Sera my love). I think the new game will be almost exactly the same. MEH story, MEH cast, a couple of really cool arenas, a couple of really badass and unforgettable characters. At least we have unrestricted romances back again.

This comment secret was made shortly after the trailer dropped when the whole fandom hadn't exploded yet. And lol fuck you, your taste isn't any better just because you think yourself on the side of some sort of contrarian intellectual elite for liking the style. People are allowed to dislike an artsyle, deal with it. And sure, fuck the shitty ugly grandpa if you want, it's your problem. do I come off as offended? I was trying for more like "disappointed/sad" vibe. it could be because, even tho OP made the secret comment before the reaction was widespread, this view got old really fast for me, ig I was annoyed to see it here too.

I AM SO EXCITED TO MAKE MY GAY OLD SELF SO I CAN ROMANCE ANOTHER OLD GAY. Halsin in BG3 was delightful, even though he looked to be about ten years younger than I would have liked, but I did not hesitate at all to make a more true to life version of myself instead of my usual youthful doppleganger so I wouldn't feel so creepy making eyes as Astarion (also I'm trying to see how that fine young black elf paladin isn't appealing as well, the young version me won't be retired quite so soon!).

like, the necro-gramps is a bit older than me though still close, but the mage killer is practically the same age as me (at least he looks like it?), I'm pretty pumped for both of them! and the elf guy is super pretty??? I'm way more concerned with the writing at this point.
