I’ve never seen a Holocaust AU, but I noped the fuck out of a Tiananmen Square AU once. I just don’t get the point of it.

That is a 100% reasonable stance to take! They can write what they want, you can nope right out, everyone's happy.

One of my fandoms had a character who was a Holocaust survivor and people started writing AUs where other characters were also caught up in the Holocaust for various stupid reasons and suffered EVEN MORE and it was block block block from me!

So...you read things that you're interested in, and don't read things that you're not interested in? But you're okay with people writing things that you're not interested in, because you know the world doesn't revolve around you?

But yeah ...that's the spirit of don't like, don't read. Honestly, I'd prefer getting blocked to getting a harassment campaign if someone didn't like something I wrote.

Sidenote : I'm kinda super annoyed at how the meaning of "proship" has been mutated so much on Twitter that I saw someone with "proship DNI" saying "haven't they heard about enemies to lovers" in response to people dissing a ship they like as toxic and bad.
But nooo so many people believe proship explicitly means 'pedo, incest or other really bad thing ships' so saying you're proship has people up your ass about being some kind of evil monster.

I've even seen some folks on toybox (the OC website) doing the same thing to "pro-fiction" making it out to mean only the worst most deviant sounding thing they can think of.

Fuck I'm so tired.
