what makes you think we'll be able to change the companions' appearances? all I've seen is about being able to change Rook's.

Maybe it'll be like Cole in DAI, and the "hide helmet" option turns off companion hats as well (even though Cole looked weird af without his hat).

I don't think they meant appearance-appearance. The devs mentioned that you can change companions armor. So they want to remove her hat.

I think people were worried that it'd be a Dragon Age 2 situation where we couldn't dress the companions in different armor.
