U.S. American. I'm patriotic in the sense that I always vote in elections and I will always vote for democracy and human rights because I want what's best for myself and the people living here.

I think the term "patriotic" has been skewed to mean something it doesn't actually mean these days by gun loving right-wingers.

And what they exhibit is probably the most performative version of patriotism out there.

That said, some people are fighting back on that front. I happened to see a Rivian truck with large flag stickers that said "For America Against Trump". I know it's a drop in the bucket. All the same, someone taking that kind of performative patriotism and turning it on its head is a start.

I guess there are worse things to print on a tee besides "I'd rather be FAAT than MAGA!"

(okay, terrible joke I admit... and for those who don't know, it references the time MAGA voters wore tees that said "I'd rather be Russian than a Democrat")

nah, think of the fascists in the '20s, various empires before that, it was "skewed" since the beginning... which makes you wonder
