Had already watched the movies forever ago, but recently decided to actually get into Star Wars, and... yeah, I'm having fun, but most of what I've seen makes me not want to touch the community around it. People are just so ravenous about the new part of the franchise.

Humbug. When I first came on the web, I'd have killed for any fandom to have that many fics. We were lucky to get even a tenth of that, and fewer of them were actually good ones worth reading. Most of them were low grade masturbatory trash. You don't know you're born. [uphill both ways, sheer luxury, etc]
