Remember the time George W Bush, in his late fifties, whined about how being president was hard work, as though it were a valid rebuttal to any criticisms? And he got reelected anyway?

So Bush whining once at age ~60 is the same as an obviously senile old man over 80 who can't find his own way onto or off a stage, who keeps losing track of what he's saying and keep mixing up names like it's his favourite hobby? The geezer just confused Selensky's name with Putin and his own damn VP with Trump. He's an embarassment and not fit for office and people see that.

Also, Republicans would vote for a stuffed pig if it ran for office just because it's Republican. Democrats often only want to vote for the holiest cow in the room, they'd rather not vote or throw their vote away with a third party if they don't agree with the candidate in question. Just look how many morons who were Bernie bros didn't vote just because he didn't get the spot.

I love how the focus is allllll on Biden, as if Trump wasn't exactly the same AS WELL AS BEING EVIL. Like... seriously. "Oh noes he's old and senile and has supported a genocide. The thing is: To avoid getting Trump 2.0, the Democrats need a good candidate. Which Biden is decidedly not. See, the Republicans WILL vote Trump no matter what, they're shitty like that. But Biden running again makes extra sure of it because a lot of Democrats DON'T want to vote for him.
I'm not from the US but I very much do not want another Trump presidency, for both the world AND the US population. But the Democrats shot themselves in the foot by selecting Biden as the candidate again because with him, I highly doubt we'll be spared another Trump-turn.

No. We won't be spared another trump turn because PEOPLE KEEP GOING ON ABOUT HOW BAD BIDEN IS. We need people to understand how bad TRUMP IS. Trump could loose against a turnip and it would be the best thing for the world. The goal is not a good candidate for the dems. The goal is to defeat trump and we don't do that by highlighting how bad the dem candidate is and IGNORING THE MAN WHO HAS SAID HE WANTS TO CONDUCT A GENOCIDE IN THE US. We talk about what a shit person trump is! We are WELL PAST getting a "good" president. We're trying to avert catastrophe for the US. And you are helping trump. Good job, idiot.

Once again, so maybe you get it: A lot of people who would vote Democrat will not do so because they don't want to vote for Biden. Republicans will vote for Trump. Democrats will not necessarily vote for Biden. THAT'S why Biden is a bad candidate.

The issue here is not between Democrat and Republican voters, or even how to convince the undecided voters. The issue is that a lot of Democrat voter will not go and vote because they do not want to vote for Biden. Which will mean Republicans will get more votes.

I don't think ayrt's argument is that Biden is a good candidate. It's that every time people vent about how bad a candidate is, MORE Democrat voters will be convinced to not vote for him.

Biden being the candidate is reality. No one can change it at this point. So the people who don't want Trump to be president should stop venting about Biden and either talk about the good things Biden has done, or at least only vent about the shit Trump has done.

Cursing Biden, at this point, only serves to shrink the Democrat votes more and more. It actively helps Trump.

People don't have to be told he's a bad candidate. People can see that on their own. If they're not completely shit stupid, they'd still vote for him over Trump because him and the Republicans are clearly the bigger evil. But more people would vote for him if he wasn't obviously too senile.

He never should have run. But things being as they are now, he's the only real option. But he is obviously senile and people don't need to get told that to see it.

We're not trying to appeal to people who can't see that he's horrible. We're trying to appeal to people WHO DON'T VOTE. Why don't they vote? "eh, they're both bad". Those are the people you're enabling to NOT VOTE. If every eligible voter voted, we'd never have another republican in office again. So stop it with your both-sides bullshit and actually work to make a positive change.

Of course people are completing shit stupid. That's why Trump won in 2016. He was the bigger evil back then as well and there were still voters that simply didn't vote because the constant smear campaign against Clinton turned them on her. Public opinion matters when you have to get people motivated enough to get out and vote.

Anyone who trashes Biden at this point in the game is actively working with the Republicans to get Trump elected. Apathy and disillusionment in Biden only helps the Republicans.

But that's the thing: the guy is actively trashing himself, not much outside help necessary.

Yes, and that's why outside help should not actively make things even worse.

The blunders are going to keep happening; if people don't want another Trump term, they should lessen the blows by talking about the positive things Biden has achieved, or, if they can't stomach that, at least focus their negative energy on the shit Trump has done while he was in power.
