I like that you made a boring looking secret for this.

Last Good Book You Read

[personal profile] philstar22 2024-07-13 07:10 pm (UTC)(link)
What was the last good book you read, or are reading? Or just what are you currently reading or planning to read soon?

+1

(Anonymous) 2024-07-13 07:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Same, I love all of those!

Only 6 episodes a season?!?! That's BULLSHIT.

Personally I've loved both. But honestly I don't think they are that alike, so I'm not sure why it would be weird that you would like one and not the other.

Probably not the kind of book you were thinking of but I just finished the non-fiction book Midnight in Chernobyl by Adam Higginbotham and it's really good.

I get this. Personally I love long movies, as long as they are good enough that I'm fully immersed in the universe. But a movie that I'm not fully invested in can drag. Plus, it is frustrating when I have to leave the theater multiple times to use the restroom (why can't they bring back intermissions?).

Song for the Unraveling of the World by Brian Evenson. Don't know what I'll read next. Still trying to find something. :(

I wasn't thinking about anything in particular. I can really enjoy nonfiction too. I've got a new one I'm looking forward to reading that is about the history of law in general from way back with the first laws ever to the modern world.

I really hope you find something good soon.

That's what kills me. I COULD just refrain from drinking anything in the theater, I guess, but I would like to enjoy being hydrated and washing down my popcorn with a drink.

This is why I only go to maybe two films in the theater a year now. I only have to wait a month or two at most to see them on streaming anyway.

Deadpool and things like that, I'll see in the theater.
