It comes with the purity culture mindset. They have no understanding of consent, because to them it doesn't matter. It only matters if it's "pure" and "good" by their ever changing standards. I've seen people with this purity culture mindset praise obviously toxic depictions of relationships as "finally, some good fic" because they literally couldn't see the violation of consent.

I get you. I haven't felt the urge to watch it yet (I was kinda coasting with GoT toward the end) but was shocked to discover eyepatch guy is meant to be the YOUNGER brother?

As someone who has ended up with a weird hybrid accent also via Scotland I love listening out for the Scottish influences in the way he talks but each to their own.

Something the anti-tagging crowd also doesn't seem to get is that people who WANT to see exactly what they're creating can't find it if it isn't tagged. If person A doesn't want to see X, but person B loves X and wants to see all the fan works involving X, both A and B are going to be frustrated that X isn't tagged. The result usually is that A ends up being unpleasantly surprised and B can't find what they want - luck of the draw is seldom good luck either way

Best and worse examples of younger to older (or reverse) character choices. Did they de-age them like Marvel? Slap a wig on them like Better Call Saul? Use different actors?

Because secret #3 reminded me - that FFnet has finally been taken down. From what I understood, they had been supported by GoDaddy - who didn't approve of a few stories that consisted of child abuse. The people behind FFnet were apparently trying to appeal but still hadn't heard back.

I knew it was going to happen one day, but still weirdly sad about it. Of course there's a chance it could come back up but I'm pretty doubtful.

This has been the single worst day at my work.

My broker gave me an incorrect delivery order so one of my containers was delivered to the wrong STATE. Had to spend hours getting that fixed.

Then found out an air shipment I had picked up Thursday only picked up seven of the ten skids they were supposed to. And neither the warehouse or the trucking company want to take responsibility for it so going to have to eat that $1500 (plus late fees from the customer).

Aw that’s a shame. I could listen to him read the phone book. But I totally get being put off massively by an accent or voice. Half my extended family have an accent that is like nails on a chalkboard to my poor ears.
