Outside of the Lightsabers, I think the helmets in Star Wars have always been the most recognizable part of it, especially Stormtrooper and Vader's helmets. Even before Disney, imo.

It comes with the purity culture mindset. They have no understanding of consent, because to them it doesn't matter. It only matters if it's "pure" and "good" by their ever changing standards. I've seen people with this purity culture mindset praise obviously toxic depictions of relationships as "finally, some good fic" because they literally couldn't see the violation of consent.

Something the anti-tagging crowd also doesn't seem to get is that people who WANT to see exactly what they're creating can't find it if it isn't tagged. If person A doesn't want to see X, but person B loves X and wants to see all the fan works involving X, both A and B are going to be frustrated that X isn't tagged. The result usually is that A ends up being unpleasantly surprised and B can't find what they want - luck of the draw is seldom good luck either way

It's true that accurate tagging doesn't lead to content purges. (And it's definitely not censorship just for existing!)

But I can understand people being worried about how, when purges happen, the tagging gets weaponized. LJ banned communities based on their tagged interests. Tumblr wiped out all their tagged NSFW.

AO3 is the only platform I can think of where you're guaranteed not to have the site suddenly change its policies and delete all your properly-tagged work :/

i dont like to tag bc 1. i am asshole and 2. i dont like to spoil my work. besides, when you read it, you can certainly tell the Thing is coming, bc, yknow, theres gotta be a sense of buildup, things lead into things, thats plot, so theres the chance to click back. 3. "creator chose not to use archive warnings" is its own warning 4. sometimes the ship itself is its own tag! wow, its two siblings slashed together. i bet this has incest and noncon! doesnt take a genius to figure that out. and 5. yes, i am an asshole. i can be anyone i want online and such is my choice

The Supernatural/Scooby-Doo crossover is one of the shows I had in mind when I thought of this secret.

Sometimes I wonder how Cop Rock would gone over if it had been animated.

Some Anon asked if I would want the reverse, animated series having one live-action episode, and I said I would.

After remembering the abomination that was the Kim Possible live-action movie, I'm questioning that now.

Best and worse examples of younger to older (or reverse) character choices. Did they de-age them like Marvel? Slap a wig on them like Better Call Saul? Use different actors?
