Yeah, I work in healthcare and the program that we use needs a cell phone to verify the patient's identity under federal law. There are ways around it (which is good because I'm in a rural area and not everyone has a cell phone), but you have to take 4-5 extra steps to do that.

My doctor's office is supposed to call me tomorrow, let's hope this is all ironed out. I don't want to miss the damn surgery on my leg I'm supposed to have next month.
