Guys, we gotta stop pretending there is this big divide between internet fandom and the rest of our lives like we had in the old days. The world doesn't work like that no more. Terminally online is just regular online now, whether that is politics or fanfics. It is just life now. Kids these days[TM] don't have that difference between your fanfic, and a regular ebook. They don't even call them ebooks, it is all just writing. Your fanfic is just another form or regular old writing. In many ways this is exactly the scenario we've been fighting for on AO3.

Because the whole point of this comm is to have different opinions that other people might disagree with. You cannot keep calling everything you don't like bait or a troll. If more general fandom reclists aren't doing it for you, go and spend a few minutes searching tags, summaries, etc, for your particular interests on AO3, where fanfic actually belongs. Or ask your flist/Tumblr mutuals/who-the-fuck-ever for recs within your wheelhouse.

There is no excuse whatsoever for 'reviewing' fanfiction on a site built, designed, intended, and created solely for professionally published, commercial, for-profit literature. And there is no excuse whatsoever for enabling this bullshit either.
