Sonic didn't start annoying me as a franchise until they started putting Shadow everywhere.

Yes, this! Shadow's entire story functioned only on SA2 and SA2 only. Everything else is just noise. Yeah Yeah Black Arms, whatever, just added stuff that really feels like it amounted to nothing.

Plus, I always said Shadow doesn't work as Sonic's rival because he fills in functions that two other characters do: fast speedy hedgehog rivalry? Metal Sonic. Opposite personalities that clash with each other? Knuckles.

Yeah, I don't like Shadow. XD
