I don't want people outside of a certain circle to even see it. I really don't feel as if something is being taken from me if my fic gets scraped.

For me, those two points are in direct conflict with each other.

I don't want people outside of a certain circle to even see it... thus, I really, really, really don't want faceless corporations from outside that circle coming in and shoving it into a machine that will ultimately circulate variations of it into even wider circles completely so far removed from the one I originally wanted it to be contained within.
