I don't get it.

The pairing or the secret? *G* Because the pairing is odd to say the least.

The pairing. It makes no sense.

The characters have practically zero connection.

One could always argue that they could/would have meet since Pepper works for Tony Stark and Tony has had vast dealing with Doctor Strange but I ship it myself (and write most of the fic for it as well, though I tend to have Wong in the pairing as well) so I'm biased.

*G* I hope you don't mean me because my <3 of the pairing is hardly secret nor is my love of a great many fanon couples. And anyways I'd of had Wong in there too. ^_^

Haha, I guess I am wrong then. IT'S HARD TO TELL SOMETIMES, PEOPLE THINK THINGS LIKE 'OMG I SHIP THIS SUPER POPULAR PAIRING' ARE SECRET.

Also I think I took "fanon" in this case to be based more on their lack of interactions than lack of, you know, being canon, but that's possibly because I live in a deluded world where a lot of my ships aren't just fanon LALALA denial and all that.

I can't speak for the OP but I can tell you what I find intriguing about them -- Pepper and Strange are very career-driven people, passionate, and both very controlled. I find the prospect of them letting out that inner passion HOT.

Pepper has nothing to do with magic, she's a driven career woman whose previous love interests have all been directly involved with her work. Strange talks like he's from the 17th century and wears a fucking cape.

Different strokes and all, but I just don't see it.

I'm familiar enough with Doctor Strange, but even after I read the pairing, that secret just makes me imagine Pepper with Dr. Orpheus and I can't stop giggling. :D?

I'm all for peculiar pairings. I like this one!

Oh God, I OTP Pepper and Happy, yet I've been sucked into shipping it, too -- at least, in animated-movie-verse canon where Happy doesn't exist and 616 canon where he's dead.

It puts my Bucky/Sharon fanon shipping to shame in turns of fanon ships. I think it even outdoes MM/$B, because at least Bill and Byron appear in the same panel a couple of times.
