If anything good has come from 'Believe Women/Victims!' and Time's up!' it's that there's more support for victims of sexual assault than ever before. If those women look for help, they'll find it somewhere.

If NG is innocent, he's shit out of luck if he doesn't have family and friends (fans can do only so much) to be his support system. And considering how quickly friends and family abandon men accused of what he's been accused of doing...

I don't think it's especially likely that he's innocent, and I don't think it's true that everyone immediately abandons someone accused of sex crimes. In fact, people seem to be willing to go to great lengths to defend people accused of sex crimes.

I have been kind of side-eyeing all of the people assuming the suicide threat was pure manipulation. In my experience people don't make manipulative suicide threats unless they're also at least passively suicidal. It doesn't make them less manipulative but it's a thing. And people who have the kind of personality disorders that lead to then kind of stuff he did to those women often have very fragile senses of self.

Like I'm not saying he deserves our sympathy or gentle handling or even that he's learning anything from the experience or feeling guilty even. But it's reasonably likely that at least part of why he's gone silent is a major mental health crisis, yes.
