Not OP, but I'd love to see more stuff along the lines of monsters and eldritch abominations, like in the Silver John stories by Manly Wade Wellman.

Late to the party (I was out of town and hate trying to navigate here on a phone), but have you ever seen The Legend of Hillbilly John? It's a 1972 movie based on some Silver John stories, and frankly its reach way exceeds its grasp, but it's the only Silver John movie I know of and I'd be curious to know what you think of it.
