I didn't mind Damian as a character in the old continuity. I didn't like him much as a person but he had potential and I was excited for it. Tim was my fav and there was focus on his feelings about it etc.

Now I haven't touched a Robin comic in ages, apart from Tim's LGBT focused ones because I guess I do like Bernard much better than Jon's romance somehow.
Maybe it got better with time but I didn't like anything that the reboot did to Tim in the first years.
Still sad about it.

Are Tim and Bernard dating now? That's interesting (and very safe for DC).
I haven't touched comics in years, but if Tim/Kon ever becomes canon I will be there for it. Young Justice/their Teen Titans era was my shit.

I remember people bring upset that Robin and Superboy coming out as bi with the wrong Superboy and I do understand!
I did ship Tim/Kon, but not hard enough to be too upset about it. I like Bernard.
I also shipped Damian and Jon lol. Wish I liked Jon's bf Jay better.

Jon! He's Clark's and Louis' son and Damian's best friend. Got aged up and thus they're not the same age anymore (another ship gone poof). Got a boyfriend.

.... So Robin's best friend is Superboy? Gosh, where have I read that before, lol. I can't believe there is now apparently a queer Robin and a queer Superboy but still no Robin/Superboy canon ship (I can believe it, this is the story of my life when it comes to DC).

I hate Jon so much for the Secret Poster reasons to hate Damian. He's such a "replacement goldfish" for Kon, with the extra ICKY patina of "Well, he's the TRUE HEIR of Superman because he's REALLY his son" and UGH.

Give me Tim/Kon (Friendship and partnership and as Robin and Superboy) or write actually new damn characters DC!

But Jon is so different from Kon. Kon is confident and bold, and Jon is hesitant and careful. If he’a supposed to replace Kon he’s doing a terrible job of it.

Oh, I agree he's a terrible Kon. But his fans insist his the "superior" Superboy and the "Rightful" 'Heir for Superman!
