Nutella isn't that great.

Salted caramel mostly either has not enough salt to taste a difference or so damn much that all you taste is salt. Rarely a good balance.

I don't like nutella either, it manages to do a disservice to both chocolate and hazelnuts.

Salted caramel can be good when it's "A caramel thing that is salted", the caramel and salt are distinct flavor bursts that go well together (but it's still easy to get the balance wrong.)

"Let's mix the salt and caramel together so we just have salty caramel" is not.
