(Anonymous) 2024-08-10 09:00 pm (UTC)(link)They have to piggyback on fandom friending memes because there are fewer non-fandom friending memes (or at least fewer that get any traction). Non-fandom journals on Dreamwidth often seem much less open to making new friends than fandom ones, so anyone trying to connect with people here has to do it via the fandom-related methods available even if they're not into fandom themselves.
